XHTML and CSS

XHTML, CSS, vlaidation, semantic markup, markup

I use XHTML 1.0 Strict for markup and CSS for presentation. I have been using div-based layouts (no tables) since 2005. Most of my CSS techniques are taken from Eric Meyer’s Books (Eric Meyer on CSS, More Eric Meyer on CSS) and CSS Mastery. I am also a reader of A List Apart, which keeps me up-to-date on new techniques as our industry evolves. In 2007 I attended An Even Apart NYC, a three-day seminar on HTML and design with speakers including Eric Meyer and Jeffery Zeldman.
Valid, semantic markup is the foundation of lightweight, search-engine-friendly web sites. Proper use of XHTML and CSS gives us web pages that are easy to scale, maintain at the same time as they make our content easily accessible to the widest possible audience
